From birthday parties to school celebrations, our mission is to create an experience that is accessible and inclusive, with an atmosphere of joy and excitement for kids and families.
Our Story
Alex is the heartbeat of our entertainment team.
From the moment he first met Stripes, the Hamilton Tiger Cats mascot, Alex was hooked. Mascots and costumes instantly captured his imagination, from posing for countless photos with his favourite characters at Canada’s Wonderland’s Snoopy Land to spotting mascots at community events.
As he grew, Alex discovered the magic behind the mask: real people bringing joy, laughter, and energy to those around them. He knew he wanted to be part of that world.
Being a mascot became his dream, and soon, his reality.
In costume, Alex comes alive, bounding with energy, radiating joy, and delighting crowds with his playful spirit. Whether he’s dancing, waving, or goofing around, he makes sure everyone leaves with a smile.
Yes, Alex was born with Down syndrome. But this has not stopped him. Alex, like many other teenagers, wanted a job and this has been an exciting start to his dream.
This isn’t just a part-time job for Alex; it’s a calling. With the support of a community that believes in him, he’s turned his passion into a role where he can truly shine.
Today, it’s a bright blue dog suit that’s making the difference. Tomorrow? Who knows what new characters will join our costume lineup, so come often and check us out!
Why "321 Go Mascots"?
The name is inspired by something close to our hearts. Three copies of the 21st chromosome, or Trisomy 21, is what gives someone what we know as Down syndrome.
Our star mascot performer, Alex, is always on the move, full of energy and ready for fun. Combined with the excitement of your well known countdown, 3-2-1… GO!, it’s the perfect name to capture both his spirit and the joy we bring to every event.
